It’s this, isn’t it. Sampha and Jessie Ware’s Valentine, released back in February (obviously) on heart-shaped vinyl. Both vocalists may have enjoyed prominent roles on the SBTRKT album – and Ware’s turn on Joker’s The Vision LP is amongst its highlights. But this is surely the sweetest escape of the year. Tune in, fade the background out, smile for 129 seconds.
Honestly, if you don’t feel your heart lift a fraction when this plays, seek medical assistance immediately as it appears there’s a hole where a major organ should be.
